Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Telecoms, Basic Materials and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.17%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA), which rose 2.44% or 0.230 points to trade at 9.660 at the close. Meanwhile, CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) added 1.02% or 0.0500 points to end at 4.9500 and Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) was up 0.99% or 0.0160 points to 1.6400 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which fell 11.93% or 0.0520 points to trade at 0.3840 at the close. Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) declined 1.43% or 0.0021 points to end at 0.1451 and The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR) was down 0.89% or 0.0310 points to 3.4690.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 23 to 12 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) rose to all time highs; up 2.44% or 0.230 to 9.660.
Brent oil for April delivery was down 2.15% or 1.22 to $55.48 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 1.93% or 1.04 to hit $52.82 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.87% or 10.75 to trade at $1225.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.38% to 1.0600, while EUR/GBP fell 0.46% to 0.8479.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 101.00.
