Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Utilities, Industrials and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.00%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA), which rose 2.82% or 0.320 points to trade at 11.660 at the close. Meanwhile, Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) added 2.25% or 0.0049 points to end at 0.2229 and Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) was up 1.64% or 0.0440 points to 2.7290 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT), which fell 1.64% or 0.0890 points to trade at 5.3270 at the close. EDP (LS:EDP) declined 0.91% or 0.0290 points to end at 3.1690 and Sonae (LS:YSO) was down 0.65% or 0.0060 points to 0.9180.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 23 to 9 and 7 ended unchanged.
Shares in Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) rose to 52-week highs; up 1.64% or 0.0440 to 2.7290.
Brent oil for July delivery was down 0.41% or 0.22 to $53.93 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.41% or 0.21 to hit $51.26 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.32% or 4.03 to trade at $1251.47 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.04% to 1.1179, while EUR/GBP rose 0.20% to 0.8646.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 97.32.
