Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Consumer Services, Telecoms and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI lost 0.80%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Galp Energia Nom (ELI:GALP), which rose 0.77% or 0.13 points to trade at 16.93 at the close. Meanwhile, Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI:JMT) added 0.62% or 0.11 points to end at 17.75 and Altri SGPS SA (ELI:ALSS) was up 0.50% or 0.03 points to 5.05 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP), which fell 4.54% or 0.02 points to trade at 0.39 at the close. Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA) declined 3.90% or 0.10 points to end at 2.47 and CTT Correios de Portugal SA (ELI:CTT) was down 1.14% or 0.05 points to 4.34.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 13 to 11 and 8 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for December delivery was up 3.84% or 2.75 to $74.45 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 4.15% or 2.83 to hit $71.00 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.03% or 27.35 to trade at $2,686.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.61% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.07% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.45% at 100.97.
