Trump slaps 30% tariffs on EU, Mexico
Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Technology, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI lost 0.38%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR), which rose 1.36% or 0.13 points to trade at 9.29 at the close. Meanwhile, Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP) added 1.04% or 0.01 points to end at 0.68 and EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI:EDP) was up 0.43% or 0.02 points to 3.54 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Semapa (ELI:SEM), which fell 4.36% or 0.74 points to trade at 16.24 at the close. Altri SGPS SA (ELI:ALSS) declined 3.03% or 0.16 points to end at 5.12 and The Navigator Company SA (ELI:NVGR) was down 1.65% or 0.06 points to 3.34.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 17 to 11 and 2 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for August delivery was up 0.32% or 0.21 to $66.68 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.37% or 0.24 to hit $64.82 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.10% or 3.40 to trade at $3,350.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.19% to 1.14, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.02% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.19% at 98.95.
