Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Technology, Consumer Goods and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI declined 0.08%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA), which rose 0.54% or 0.02 points to trade at 3.37 at the close. Meanwhile, EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI:EDP) added 0.46% or 0.02 points to end at 3.74 and Galp Energia Nom (ELI:GALP) was up 0.34% or 0.07 points to 19.07 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were CTT Correios de Portugal SA (ELI:CTT), which fell 1.53% or 0.07 points to trade at 4.18 at the close. Altri SGPS SA (ELI:ALSS) declined 1.08% or 0.05 points to end at 4.75 and Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI:JMT) was down 1.05% or 0.17 points to 16.07.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 15 to 10 and 7 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for October delivery was up 0.43% or 0.34 to $78.67 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.81% or 0.61 to hit $75.84 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.12% or 27.35 to trade at $2,459.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.09% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.50% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 103.07.
