Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms, Financials and Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.32%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were EDP (LS:EDP), which rose 1.72% or 0.0460 points to trade at 2.7270 at the close. Meanwhile, CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) added 1.18% or 0.0400 points to end at 3.4400 and REN (LS:RENE) was up 1.14% or 0.0280 points to 2.4780 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sonae (LS:YSO), which fell 2.20% or 0.0270 points to trade at 1.2020 at the close. Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) declined 2.03% or 0.0060 points to end at 0.2895 and Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) was down 1.16% or 0.120 points to 10.240.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 17 to 15 and 5 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for April delivery was up 1.47% or 0.96 to $66.38 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 1.88% or 1.16 to hit $62.84 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.01% or 0.10 to trade at $1332.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.40% to 1.2332, while EUR/GBP rose 0.09% to 0.8834.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.39% at 89.68.
