At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 fell 0.28% to hit a new 52-week low.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were EDP (LS:EDP), which rose 1.77% or 0.0540 points to trade at 3.1100 at the close. Meanwhile, Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) added 1.68% or 0.0260 points to end at 1.5720 and Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) was up 1.30% or 0.120 points to 9.340 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT), which fell 4.16% or 0.4400 points to trade at 10.1400 at the close. CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) declined 3.99% or 0.1320 points to end at 3.1760 and Sonae SGPS SA (LS:YSO) was down 2.26% or 0.0185 points to 0.8000.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 15 to 14 and 7 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for February delivery was up 0.67% or 0.40 to $60.37 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 1.24% or 0.63 to hit $51.63 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.01% or 0.10 to trade at $1249.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.28% to 1.1323, while EUR/GBP fell 0.08% to 0.9034.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.20% at 97.377.
