Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Industrials, Consumer Services and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.17% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Montepio (LS:MPIO), which rose 2.19% or 0.009 points to trade at 0.420 at the close. Meanwhile, Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) added 1.31% or 0.0050 points to end at 0.3870 and CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) was up 0.69% or 0.0330 points to 4.8230 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC), which fell 2.15% or 0.0160 points to trade at 0.7280 at the close. Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) declined 1.97% or 0.0970 points to end at 4.8300 and Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) was down 1.42% or 0.0590 points to 4.1010.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 19 to 10 and 7 ended unchanged.
Shares in Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) fell to 52-week lows; down 1.97% or 0.0970 to 4.8300.
Brent oil for May delivery was up 1.10% or 0.56 to $51.48 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 1.55% or 0.74 to hit $48.46 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.00% or 0.05 to trade at $1202.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.30% to 1.0636, while EUR/GBP fell 0.21% to 0.8708.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.30% at 101.32.
