Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Telecoms, Financials and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 rose 1.04%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which rose 4.90% or 0.0081 points to trade at 0.1735 at the close. Meanwhile, Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) added 4.84% or 0.0180 points to end at 0.3900 and Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) was up 1.95% or 0.0150 points to 0.7850 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS), which fell 2.01% or 0.300 points to trade at 14.600 at the close. Montepio (LS:MPIO) declined 1.17% or 0.005 points to end at 0.423 and The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR) was down 0.94% or 0.0340 points to 3.5660.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 22 to 12 and 12 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for May delivery was up 0.08% or 0.04 to $50.68 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.37% or 0.18 to hit $47.86 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.23% or 2.90 to trade at $1246.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.14% to 1.0781, while EUR/GBP fell 0.40% to 0.8613.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 99.57.
