Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Basic Materials and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 added 0.68%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which rose 3.58% or 0.0100 points to trade at 0.2890 at the close. Meanwhile, Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) added 1.96% or 0.173 points to end at 8.983 and Sonae (LS:YSO) was up 1.52% or 0.0120 points to 0.7990 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which fell 3.15% or 0.0510 points to trade at 1.5670 at the close. Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) declined 1.16% or 0.0019 points to end at 0.1616 and Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) was down 0.29% or 0.0020 points to 0.6900.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 20 to 12 and 12 ended unchanged.

Brent oil for April delivery was down 0.04% or 0.02 to $56.78 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 0.24% or 0.13 to hit $53.75 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.67% or 8.05 to trade at $1216.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.17% to 1.0787, while EUR/GBP rose 1.07% to 0.8598.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 99.63.
