Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Financials, Consumer Goods and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 gained 0.59%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which rose 5.47% or 0.0140 points to trade at 0.2700 at the close. Meanwhile, Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) added 3.28% or 0.0073 points to end at 0.2302 and Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) was up 1.46% or 0.0130 points to 0.9020 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Montepio (LS:MPIO), which fell 2.39% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.409 at the close. J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) declined 0.75% or 0.1300 points to end at 17.2950 and Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) was down 0.40% or 0.0110 points to 2.7180.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 24 to 14 and 6 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for July delivery was down 3.84% or 2.07 to $51.89 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 4.07% or 2.09 to hit $49.27 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.20% or 2.47 to trade at $1255.57 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.03% to 1.1216, while EUR/GBP rose 0.05% to 0.8656.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 97.06.
