Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Financials and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 added 0.42%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Semapa (LS:SEM), which rose 2.21% or 0.3250 points to trade at 15.0000 at the close. Meanwhile, Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS) added 2.10% or 0.300 points to end at 14.600 and Sonae (LS:YSO) was up 1.25% or 0.0120 points to 0.9750 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which fell 1.99% or 0.0530 points to trade at 2.6050 at the close. Novabase SGPS (LS:NBA) declined 0.60% or 0.019 points to end at 3.160 and Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) was down 0.45% or 0.050 points to 11.175.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 28 to 8 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in Semapa (LS:SEM) rose to all time highs; up 2.21% or 0.3250 to 15.0000.
Brent oil for July delivery was down 1.13% or 0.56 to $48.78 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 1.16% or 0.54 to hit $45.89 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.82% or 10.06 to trade at $1217.04 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.45% to 1.0875, while EUR/GBP fell 0.39% to 0.8407.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.46% at 99.49.
