Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Financials, Consumer Services and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 gained 0.39%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Sonae (LS:YSO), which rose 2.20% or 0.0200 points to trade at 0.9310 at the close. Meanwhile, REN (LS:RENE) added 1.50% or 0.0430 points to end at 2.9190 and Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) was up 1.43% or 0.0026 points to 0.1845 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS), which fell 1.55% or 0.0800 points to trade at 5.0900 at the close. Novabase SGPS (LS:NBA) declined 1.10% or 0.035 points to end at 3.160 and CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) was down 0.87% or 0.0440 points to 5.0310.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 17 to 16 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in REN (LS:RENE) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 1.50% or 0.0430 to 2.9190.
Brent oil for June delivery was up 1.01% or 0.55 to $54.91 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 1.08% or 0.55 to hit $51.70 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.49% or 6.15 to trade at $1254.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.12% to 1.0651, while EUR/GBP fell 0.08% to 0.8535.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 100.56.
