Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financials, Utilities and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 gained 0.30%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which rose 2.66% or 0.0065 points to trade at 0.2510 at the close. Meanwhile, Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) added 1.97% or 0.0480 points to end at 2.4890 and EDP (LS:EDP) was up 1.12% or 0.0330 points to 2.9830 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sonae (LS:YSO), which fell 1.97% or 0.0200 points to trade at 0.9950 at the close. Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) declined 1.53% or 0.0620 points to end at 4.0000 and The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR) was down 1.24% or 0.0470 points to 3.7400.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 26 to 13 and 5 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for September delivery was up 0.56% or 0.27 to $48.69 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.46% or 0.21 to hit $46.23 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.62% or 7.65 to trade at $1241.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.72% to 1.1561, while EUR/GBP rose 0.82% to 0.8863.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.52% at 94.43.
