Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology, Financials and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 gained 0.26% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which rose 2.44% or 0.0036 points to trade at 0.1510 at the close. Meanwhile, Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) added 1.13% or 0.0600 points to end at 5.3810 and Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) was up 0.87% or 0.0060 points to 0.6960 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which fell 1.54% or 0.0060 points to trade at 0.3840 at the close. REN (LS:RENE) declined 0.87% or 0.0230 points to end at 2.6250 and Sonae (LS:YSO) was down 0.85% or 0.0070 points to 0.8190.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 18 to 17 and 4 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for April delivery was down 0.11% or 0.06 to $55.59 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 0.39% or 0.21 to hit $53.15 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.12% or 1.55 to trade at $1240.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.53% to 1.0617, while EUR/GBP fell 0.07% to 0.8541.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.40% at 100.85.
