Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Telecoms, Financials and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 gained 0.01%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Montepio (LS:MPIO), which rose 1.84% or 0.009 points to trade at 0.497 at the close. Meanwhile, EDP (LS:EDP) added 1.58% or 0.0450 points to end at 2.9010 and Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) was up 1.13% or 0.0100 points to 0.8930 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were REN (LS:RENE), which fell 1.60% or 0.0440 points to trade at 2.7030 at the close. Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS) declined 1.41% or 0.200 points to end at 14.000 and Semapa (LS:SEM) was down 1.14% or 0.1950 points to 16.9750.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 22 to 14 and 7 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for September delivery was down 0.12% or 0.06 to $49.62 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $47.08 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.38% or 4.61 to trade at $1223.81 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.13% to 1.1349, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.00% to 0.8783.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 96.00.
