Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financials, Industrials and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI gained 1.07%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA), which rose 3.97% or 0.13 points to trade at 3.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP) added 3.07% or 0.02 points to end at 0.58 and Galp Energia Nom (ELI:GALP) was up 1.29% or 0.20 points to 15.35 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Altri SGPS SA (ELI:ALSS), which fell 0.98% or 0.06 points to trade at 6.09 at the close. EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR) declined 0.59% or 0.05 points to end at 8.40 and The Navigator Company SA (ELI:NVGR) was down 0.38% or 0.01 points to 3.18.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 20 to 6 and 4 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for May delivery was down 0.79% or 0.56 to $70.51 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.95% or 0.64 to hit $66.73 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 1.27% or 38.11 to trade at $3,044.21 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.17% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.13% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 102.93.
