Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Consumer Services and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI added 0.97% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA), which rose 6.27% or 0.18 points to trade at 3.05 at the close. Meanwhile, Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI:JMT) added 2.29% or 0.45 points to end at 20.12 and Galp Energia Nom (ELI:GALP) was up 2.28% or 0.36 points to 15.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR), which fell 1.80% or 0.16 points to trade at 8.48 at the close. Altri SGPS SA (ELI:ALSS) declined 0.25% or 0.02 points to end at 6.02 and EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI:EDP) was down 0.24% or 0.01 points to 2.90.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 16 to 7 and 7 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for April delivery was up 0.73% or 0.55 to $75.77 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 1.47% or 1.04 to hit $71.75 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 1.70% or 49.40 to trade at $2,950.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.32% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.18% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.30% at 106.90.
