Bitcoin price today: slips to $117k from record peak; US inflation awaited
Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Utilities, Telecoms and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI added 0.64% to hit a new 5-year high.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Ibersol SGPS (ELI:IBS), which rose 1.93% or 0.19 points to trade at 10.05 at the close. Meanwhile, Galp Energia Nom (ELI:GALP) added 1.68% or 0.26 points to end at 15.70 and EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR) was up 1.20% or 0.12 points to 9.73 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were The Navigator Company SA (ELI:NVGR), which fell 0.83% or 0.03 points to trade at 3.33 at the close. Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP) unchanged 0.47% or 0.00 points to end at 0.67 and Semapa (ELI:SEM) was down 0.37% or 0.06 points to 16.18.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 14 to 11 and 3 ended unchanged.
Shares in Ibersol SGPS (ELI:IBS) rose to 5-year highs; rising 1.93% or 0.19 to 10.05.
Brent oil for August delivery was down 0.27% or 0.19 to $69.58 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $68.15 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.93% or 64.40 to trade at $3,408.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.75% to 1.16, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.48% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.65% at 97.96.
