Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Telecoms, Consumer Goods and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 rose 0.21%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which rose 11.51% or 0.0450 points to trade at 0.4360 at the close. Meanwhile, Semapa (LS:SEM) added 1.45% or 0.1900 points to end at 13.2900 and Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) was up 1.13% or 0.105 points to 9.430 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were REN (LS:RENE), which fell 1.32% or 0.0350 points to trade at 2.6080 at the close. Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) declined 1.15% or 0.0080 points to end at 0.6860 and Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) was down 0.57% or 0.0300 points to 5.2500.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 18 to 12 and 13 ended unchanged.
Shares in Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) rose to 52-week highs; rising 11.51% or 0.0450 to 0.4360.
Brent oil for April delivery was up 2.05% or 1.14 to $56.77 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 1.89% or 1.00 to hit $54.00 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.17% or 2.15 to trade at $1234.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.16% to 1.0642, while EUR/GBP fell 0.06% to 0.8520.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 100.70.
