Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Chemicals, Energy and Information Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 declined 0.37%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were CCC SA (WA:CCCP), which rose 2.58% or 5.50 points to trade at 218.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Kernel Holding SA (WA:KER) added 1.25% or 0.91 points to end at 73.86 and KGHM Polska Miedz SA (WA:KGH) was up 0.97% or 1.05 points to 108.98 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP), which fell 2.41% or 1.73 points to trade at 70.01 at the close. Gornictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA (WA:PGN) declined 2.33% or 0.13 points to end at 5.45 and PKP Cargo (WA:PKPP) was down 2.32% or 1.21 points to 50.99.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 304 to 244 and 184 ended unchanged.
Shares in CCC SA (WA:CCCP) rose to all time highs; gaining 2.58% or 5.50 to 218.50. Shares in Kernel Holding SA (WA:KER) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 1.25% or 0.91 to 73.86. Shares in KGHM Polska Miedz SA (WA:KGH) rose to 52-week highs; up 0.97% or 1.05 to 108.98.
Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.83% or 0.44 to $52.57 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.62% or 0.35 to hit $55.66 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.44% or 5.25 to trade at $1194.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.31% to 4.3842, while USD/PLN rose 0.18% to 4.1259.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.10% at 101.36.
