Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Information Technology, Banking and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 added 0.60%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were CD Projekt SA (WA:CDR), which rose 4.09% or 2.71 points to trade at 68.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Enea SA (WA:ENAE) added 3.13% or 0.35 points to end at 11.55 and ING Bank Śląski SA (WA:INGP) was up 2.29% or 4.15 points to 185.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Alior Bank SA (WA:ALRR), which fell 2.31% or 1.67 points to trade at 70.51 at the close. Eurocash SA (WA:EUR) declined 1.52% or 0.48 points to end at 31.01 and Kernel Holding SA (WA:KER) was down 1.50% or 1.01 points to 66.25.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 275 to 248 and 169 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.51% or 0.26 to $50.93 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.26% or 0.14 to hit $53.75 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.54% or 6.80 to trade at $1260.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.23% to 4.1997, while USD/PLN fell 0.14% to 3.7371.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.15% at 96.85.
