Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Information Technology and Chemicals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 rose 1.16%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were 11BIT (WA:11B), which rose 4.51% or 8.40 points to trade at 194.60 at the close. Meanwhile, CCC SA (WA:CCCP) added 3.28% or 5.60 points to end at 176.30 and Allegro (WA:ALEP) was up 3.00% or 0.86 points to 29.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Enea SA (WA:ENAE), which fell 1.73% or 0.24 points to trade at 13.62 at the close. Powszechna Kasa Oszczednosci Bank Polski SA (WA:PKO) declined 0.79% or 0.52 points to end at 65.24 and mBank SA (WA:MBK) was down 0.16% or 1.00 points to 625.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 324 to 212 and 89 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.60% or 0.44 to $72.72 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.24% or 0.18 to hit $76.14 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.47% or 13.40 to trade at $2,870.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.29% to 4.21, while USD/PLN fell 0.66% to 4.06.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.97% at 107.82.
