Investing.com – Philippines stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Banking & Financials, Holding Firms and Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite added 1.52%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Robinsons Land Corp (PS:RLC), which rose 5.10% or 1.250 points to trade at 25.750 at the close. Meanwhile, JG Summit Holdings Inc (PS:JGS) added 3.84% or 2.800 points to end at 75.800 and Metropolitan Bank and Trust Co (PS:MBT) was up 3.25% or 2.55 points to 80.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were LT Group Inc (PS:LTG), which fell 3.81% or 0.560 points to trade at 14.140 at the close. DMCI Holdings Inc (PS:DMC) declined 0.46% or 0.060 points to end at 13.040 and First Gen Corp (PS:FGEN) was down 0.45% or 0.10 points to 22.20.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 113 to 74 and 49 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.30% or 3.65 to $1236.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 0.17% or 0.09 to hit $53.20 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 0.27% or 0.15 to trade at $55.90 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.37% to 7.2873, while USD/PHP rose 0.09% to 49.974.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 100.81.
