Investing.com – Philippines stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials, Mining & Oil and Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite gained 0.12%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Jollibee Foods Corp (PS:JFC), which rose 3.46% or 6.50 points to trade at 194.50 at the close. Meanwhile, International Container Terminal Services Inc (PS:ICT) added 2.39% or 2.050 points to end at 88.000 and Metropolitan Bank and Trust Co (PS:MBT) was up 2.18% or 1.70 points to 79.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Megaworld Corp (PS:MEG), which fell 3.42% or 0.120 points to trade at 3.390 at the close. Robinsons Land Corp (PS:RLC) declined 2.11% or 0.500 points to end at 23.200 and DMCI Holdings Inc (PS:DMC) was down 1.19% or 0.140 points to 11.600.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 92 to 91 and 49 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.33% or 4.15 to $1249.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.04% or 0.02 to hit $49.49 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract fell 0.25% or 0.13 to trade at $52.41 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was down 0.12% to 7.2793, while USD/PHP fell 0.07% to 50.166.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.20% at 99.98.
