Investing.com – Philippines stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Mining & Oil, Holding Firms and Property sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite added 0.02%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Aboitiz Equity Ventures Inc (PS:AEV), which rose 1.37% or 1.000 points to trade at 73.800 at the close. Meanwhile, JG Summit Holdings Inc (PS:JGS) added 0.92% or 0.700 points to end at 77.000 and LT Group Inc (PS:LTG) was up 0.69% or 0.100 points to 14.540 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were PLDT Inc (PS:TEL), which fell 1.85% or 27.00 points to trade at 1430.00 at the close. Petron Corp (PS:PCOR) declined 1.09% or 0.100 points to end at 9.100 and Security Bank Corp (PS:SECB) was down 0.95% or 2.00 points to 208.60.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 111 to 84 and 48 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.34% or 4.25 to $1234.85 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 0.67% or 0.36 to hit $54.14 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 0.55% or 0.31 to trade at $56.49 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.12% to 7.3105, while USD/PHP rose 0.18% to 50.310.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.41% at 101.33.
