(Reuters) -Pfizer Inc and Moderna (NASDAQ:MRNA) Inc have raised the prices of their COVID-19 vaccines in their latest European Union supply contracts, the Financial Times reported https://on.ft.com/3j8mbTb on Sunday.

The new price for the Pfizer (NYSE:PFE) shot was 19.50 euros ($23.15)against 15.50 euros previously, the newspaper said, citing portions of the contracts seen.

The price of a Moderna vaccine was $25.50 a dose, the contracts show, up from about 19 euros in the first procurement deal but lower than the previously agreed $28.50 because the order had grown, the report said, citing one official close to the matter.

Pfizer declined to comment on the contract with the European Commission, citing confidentiality. "Beyond the redacted contract(s) published by the EC, the content remains confidential and so we won't be commenting," the company said.

Moderna was not immediately available for comment to Reuters.

The European Commission said on Tuesday that the EU is on course to hit a target of fully vaccinating at least 70% of the adult population by the end of the summer.

In May, the EU said it expects to have received more than a billion doses of vaccines by the end of September from four drugmakers.

Iceland has over 90% vaccination rate, and recently had to reimpose COVID restrictions as cases surge. Anybody who still believes any of the current political/MSM narrative has to be completely bra.indead. These people, like Fauci, have been wrong every step of the way as they use statistical manipulation to try and comport with their agenda.
Biden/Kamala during election last year "We will not be getting the vaccine if it comes out under the Trump administration", MSM during election last year "Why rushing a vaccine is a bad idea"....Biden/Kamala/MSM this year "YOU BETTER TAKE THIS EXPERIMENTAL VACCINE THAT IS SUPER DUPER SAFE AND EFFECTIVE OR YOU ARE AN EVIL TRUMP SUPPORTER...ALSO, KEEP WEARING A MASK AND NEVER LEAVE YOUR HOME EVEN AFTER TAKING THE SUPER DUPER SAFE AND EFFECTIVE VACCINE"
What is especially concerning about Fauci is that he controls NIH funding, so there is conflict of interest among many of the "scientists" that he uses to push his agenda. Basically anybody who receives funding from the NIH - such as academic institutions - can have their funding withdrawn if they go against Fauci. Fauci, being the same guy who a few years ago said that the benefits of gain of function research outweigh the risks of global pandemic...and now he is saying the benefits of mass vaccination with experimental vaccines outweighs the risks.
"CDC study shows 74% of people infected in Massachusetts Covid outbreak were fully vaccinated"...fyi, in the study 4 out of 5 people hospitalized were vaccinated, and 68% of the Massachusetts population is vaccinated. The only people surprised about this are the political cult sheep who blindly obey their government and MSM masters that have been wrong and misleading/lying to them about everything from the start for ulterior political motives. Complete cognitive dissonance by leftists/democrats.
They stick it to EU because Eu wanted them cheap like Astrazeneca.
