Peru stocks lower at close of trade; S&P Lima General down 0.35%

Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Services, Electricity and Mining sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General fell 0.35%.

The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Panoro (LM:PML), which rose 4.55% or 0.005 points to trade at 0.115 at the close. Meanwhile, Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) added 1.67% or 0.010 points to end at 0.610 and Relapasa (LM:REL) was up 1.25% or 0.003 points to 0.244 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Sociedad Minera el Brocal SAA (LM:BRO), which fell 3.20% or 0.200 points to trade at 6.050 at the close. Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM) declined 3.16% or 0.006 points to end at 0.184 and Sider (LM:SID) was down 1.84% or 0.007 points to 0.373.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 14 to 10 and 8 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for December delivery was down 1.50% or 0.68 to $44.66 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.04% or 0.02 to hit $46.38 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.34% or 4.50 to trade at $1303.70 a troy ounce.

USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.3775, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.7532.

The US Dollar Index was down 0.21% at 97.19.
