Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Industrials, S&P Lima Juniors and Banking & Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General declined 0.85%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA), which rose 4.84% or 0.120 points to trade at 2.600 at the close. Meanwhile, Buenaventura (LM:BVN) added 2.85% or 0.350 points to end at 12.650 and Cem Pacasmayo (LM:CPA) was up 0.82% or 0.060 points to 7.380 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Panoro (LM:PML), which fell 6.92% or 0.009 points to trade at 0.121 at the close. Bco Continenta (LM:CON) declined 6.28% or 0.270 points to end at 4.030 and Casa Grande (LM:CSG) was down 5.88% or 0.400 points to 6.400.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 27 to 6 and 5 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.53% or 0.28 to $52.37 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.13% or 0.07 to hit $54.88 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.07% or 0.90 to trade at $1291.00 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2532, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.4833.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.79% at 99.41.
