Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Mining, Electricity and Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 0.81%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Buenaventura (LM:BVN), which rose 5.60% or 0.660 points to trade at 12.450 at the close. Meanwhile, Trevali Mining (LM:TV) added 4.94% or 0.040 points to end at 0.850 and Relapasa (LM:REL) was up 4.44% or 0.010 points to 0.235 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Candente Copper (LM:DNT), which fell 14.29% or 0.0100 points to trade at 0.0600 at the close. Atacocha (LM:ATB) declined 2.71% or 0.008 points to end at 0.287 and Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) was down 1.18% or 0.010 points to 0.840.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 15 to 9 and 11 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 2.17% or 0.99 to $46.51 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 2.17% or 1.05 to hit $49.43 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.03% or 0.41 to trade at $1229.01 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.55% to 3.2655, while EUR/PEN rose 1.14% to 3.5934.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.19% at 98.42.
