Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Mining, Industrials and Non-Metal Minerals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General added 0.72%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Buenaventura (LM:BVN), which rose 5.25% or 0.580 points to trade at 11.630 at the close. Meanwhile, Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) added 2.47% or 0.020 points to end at 0.830 and Intergroup (LM:IFS) was up 1.49% or 0.500 points to 34.000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM), which fell 3.45% or 0.005 points to trade at 0.140 at the close. Enel Distribucion Peru SAA (LM:ENE) declined 0.76% or 0.040 points to end at 5.260 and Alicorp (LM:ALI) was down 0.73% or 0.060 points to 8.140.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 12 to 8 and 15 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 3.12% or 1.40 to $46.33 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 2.83% or 1.35 to hit $48.98 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.27% or 3.32 to trade at $1242.48 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2410, while EUR/PEN fell 0.29% to 3.7054.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 95.39.
