Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Non-Metal Minerals, Mining and Food & Beverages sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 0.57% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Trevali Mining (LM:TV), which rose 7.00% or 0.070 points to trade at 1.070 at the close. Meanwhile, Buenaventura (LM:BVN) added 1.80% or 0.210 points to end at 11.850 and Cem Pacasmayo (LM:CPA) was up 1.76% or 0.130 points to 7.500 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were PPX Mining Corp (LM:PPX), which unchanged 6.12% or 0.00 points to trade at 0.05 at the close. Bco Continenta (LM:CON) declined 2.03% or 0.090 points to end at 4.350 and Ferreyros (LM:FER) was down 1.67% or 0.030 points to 1.770.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 13 to 8 and 10 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.89% or 0.40 to $45.44 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.08% or 0.04 to hit $47.72 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.41% or 4.98 to trade at $1219.68 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2515, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.7140.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 95.55.
