Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Non-Metal Minerals, S&P Lima Juniors and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 0.66% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA), which rose 6.22% or 0.120 points to trade at 2.050 at the close. Meanwhile, Casa Grande (LM:CSG) added 3.75% or 0.150 points to end at 4.150 and Sider (LM:SID) was up 3.64% or 0.020 points to 0.570 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Candente Copper (LM:DNT), which fell 3.85% or 0.0020 points to trade at 0.0500 at the close. Relapasa (LM:REL) declined 1.84% or 0.003 points to end at 0.160 and Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) was down 1.45% or 0.010 points to 0.680.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 20 to 10 and 9 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.30% or 0.98 to $76.21 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.07% or 0.06 to hit $85.90 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.49% or 5.90 to trade at $1201.10 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.06% to 3.3114, while EUR/PEN fell 0.32% to 3.8136.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.57% at 95.67.
