Peru stocks higher at close of trade; S&P Lima General up 0.09%

Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Non-Metal Minerals, Industrials and Food & Beverages sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General added 0.09% to hit a new 3-years high.

The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM), which rose 15.00% or 0.027 points to trade at 0.207 at the close. Meanwhile, Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) added 4.56% or 0.130 points to end at 2.980 and Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) was up 3.45% or 0.020 points to 0.600 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Sociedad Minera el Brocal SAA (LM:BRO), which fell 1.03% or 0.110 points to trade at 10.590 at the close. Unacem (LM:CEL) declined 0.76% or 0.020 points to end at 2.620 and Buenaventura (LM:BVN) was down 0.61% or 0.080 points to 13.050.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 19 to 9 and 13 ended unchanged.

Shares in Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 15.00% or 0.027 to 0.207.

Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.16% or 0.08 to $50.36 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $55.45 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.06% or 13.99 to trade at $1311.21 a troy ounce.

USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2470, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.8754.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 91.81.
