Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Non-Metal Minerals, Mining and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 0.03%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Milpo (LM:MIL), which rose 3.09% or 0.150 points to trade at 5.000 at the close. Meanwhile, Rimac Seguros y Reaseguros (LM:RSR) added 2.55% or 0.040 points to end at 1.610 and Relapasa (LM:REL) was up 1.96% or 0.007 points to 0.364 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Candente Copper (LM:DNT), which fell 6.45% or 0.0080 points to trade at 0.1160 at the close. ENGIE Energia Peru SA (LM:ENGI) declined 4.11% or 0.300 points to end at 7.000 and Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM) was down 2.89% or 0.005 points to 0.168.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 18 to 11 and 16 ended unchanged.
Shares in Relapasa (LM:REL) rose to 3-years highs; up 1.96% or 0.007 to 0.364.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.78% or 0.49 to $63.45 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.35% or 0.24 to hit $69.06 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.32% or 4.20 to trade at $1317.90 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.06% to 3.2225, while EUR/PEN rose 0.35% to 3.8528.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 92.08.
