Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Non-Metal Minerals, Mining and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 1.68%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Trevali Mining (LM:TV), which rose 10.48% or 0.110 points to trade at 1.160 at the close. Meanwhile, Cem Pacasmayo (LM:CPA) added 10.00% or 0.600 points to end at 6.600 and Edegel (LM:EDE) was up 6.38% or 0.150 points to 2.500 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Relapasa (LM:REL), which fell 4.35% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.220 at the close. Inretail Peru (LM:INR) declined 1.24% or 0.240 points to end at 19.150 and Casa Grande (LM:CSG) was down 1.17% or 0.080 points to 6.770.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 19 to 6 and 9 ended unchanged.
Shares in Trevali Mining (LM:TV) rose to 52-week highs; up 10.48% or 0.110 to 1.160. Shares in Cem Pacasmayo (LM:CPA) rose to 3-years highs; rising 10.00% or 0.600 to 6.600.
Crude oil for April delivery was down 0.59% or 0.32 to $53.69 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.37% or 0.21 to hit $56.30 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.34% or 4.25 to trade at $1249.65 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.21% to 3.2580, while EUR/PEN fell 0.56% to 3.4476.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.41% at 101.75.
