Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences, Materials and Energy sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 0.20%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MHG), which rose 3.16% or 4.10 points to trade at 134.00 at the close. Meanwhile, P/f Bakkafrost (OL:BAKKA) added 2.98% or 7.80 points to end at 269.60 and Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP) was up 0.92% or 1.30 points to 141.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which fell 4.22% or 0.27 points to trade at 6.01 at the close. Storebrand ASA (OL:STB) declined 3.09% or 1.80 points to end at 56.50 and REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) was down 2.75% or 0.03 points to 0.99.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 95 to 76 and 30 ended unchanged.
Shares in Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) fell to all time lows; falling 4.22% or 0.27 to 6.01.
Crude oil for May delivery was up 1.09% or 0.56 to $51.71 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.94% or 0.51 to hit $54.87 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.36% or 4.45 to trade at $1252.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.04% to 9.1776, while USD/NOK rose 0.09% to 8.6176.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 100.58.
