Stock market today: S&P 500, Nasdaq clinch records as chip stocks ride AI momentum
Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Media, Transport and Diversified Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 0.30%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGL), which rose 7.37% or 5.40 points to trade at 78.65 at the close. Meanwhile, Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NAS) added 3.48% or 0.48 points to end at 14.28 and Frontline Ltd (OL:FRO) was up 2.02% or 3.65 points to 184.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nel ASA (OL:NEL), which fell 5.13% or 0.12 points to trade at 2.18 at the close. Equinor ASA (OL:EQNR) declined 2.05% or 5.00 points to end at 239.50 and Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) was down 1.67% or 6.20 points to 366.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 150 to 137 and 17 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.44% or 0.27 to $60.67 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.87% or 0.55 to hit $62.80 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 1.13% or 37.64 to trade at $3,306.26 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.83% to 11.60, while USD/NOK rose 1.10% to 10.22.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 99.37.
