Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Commercial Service And Supplies, Telecoms and Consumer Durables And Apparel sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 0.28%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY), which rose 1.86% or 0.80 points to trade at 43.77 at the close. Meanwhile, Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP) added 1.77% or 2.70 points to end at 155.40 and DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) was up 1.56% or 0.15 points to 9.44 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which fell 5.08% or 0.07 points to trade at 1.29 at the close. Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) declined 2.76% or 9.9 points to end at 349.0 and Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) was down 1.80% or 2.4 points to 131.1.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 91 to 84 and 29 ended unchanged.
Shares in Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) rose to 52-week highs; up 1.86% or 0.80 to 43.77.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 1.70% or 0.89 to $53.14 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 1.96% or 1.08 to hit $56.18 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.37% or 4.45 to trade at $1201.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.18% to 9.0660, while USD/NOK fell 0.57% to 8.5036.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.68% at 101.01.
