Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Banking, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 1.39%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which rose 17.20% or 2.3 points to trade at 15.7 at the close. Meanwhile, DnB ASA (OL:DNB) added 3.65% or 5.0 points to end at 141.9 and REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) was up 2.59% or 0.03 points to 1.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS), which fell 0.78% or 1.5 points to trade at 191.6 at the close. Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP) added 0.13% or 0.20 points to end at 153.20 and Frontline Ltd (OL:FRO) was up 0.18% or 0.10 points to 55.90.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 105 to 70 and 33 ended unchanged.
Shares in DnB ASA (OL:DNB) rose to 52-week highs; rising 3.65% or 5.0 to 141.9.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.43% or 0.23 to $53.77 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.50% or 0.28 to hit $56.84 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.24% or 2.95 to trade at $1222.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.26% to 8.8552, while USD/NOK fell 0.58% to 8.2043.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.26% at 99.57.
