Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Consumer Durables And Apparel, Banking and Transport sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 1.27%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Storebrand ASA (OL:STB), which rose 3.35% or 1.85 points to trade at 57.10 at the close. Meanwhile, DnB ASA (OL:DNB) added 2.54% or 3.4 points to end at 137.3 and Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP) was up 2.50% or 3.40 points to 139.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which fell 3.80% or 0.24 points to trade at 6.08 at the close. Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL) declined 3.15% or 1.51 points to end at 46.37 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) was down 2.81% or 0.59 points to 20.41.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 104 to 78 and 22 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.79% or 0.39 to $49.23 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.61% or 0.32 to hit $52.12 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 1.04% or 13.47 to trade at $1275.63 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.12% to 9.2925, while USD/NOK fell 1.11% to 8.5673.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.60% at 99.06.
