Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Media, Consumer Durables And Apparel and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.44%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which rose 4.50% or 0.06 points to trade at 1.35 at the close. Meanwhile, Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP) added 3.93% or 6.10 points to end at 161.50 and Schibsted ASA B (OL:SBSTB) was up 2.58% or 5.00 points to 199.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which fell 2.30% or 0.7 points to trade at 28.8 at the close. Storebrand ASA (OL:STB) declined 1.67% or 0.82 points to end at 48.18 and Lerøy Seafood Group ASA (OL:LSG) was down 1.54% or 7.0 points to 449.5.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 100 to 77 and 29 ended unchanged.
Shares in Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP) rose to all time highs; rising 3.93% or 6.10 to 161.50.
Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.74% or 0.39 to $52.62 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.50% or 0.28 to hit $55.73 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.46% or 5.55 to trade at $1194.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.10% to 9.0410, while USD/NOK fell 0.19% to 8.5107.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.08% at 101.38.
