Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Materials, Media and Software & Computer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.18%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which rose 2.44% or 0.72 points to trade at 30.10 at the close. Meanwhile, DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) added 2.41% or 0.22 points to end at 9.35 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) was up 1.78% or 0.74 points to 42.38 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP), which fell 2.38% or 3.70 points to trade at 151.70 at the close. BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG) declined 1.93% or 0.77 points to end at 39.03 and Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) was down 1.92% or 2.6 points to 132.5.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 90 to 80 and 31 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was down 1.04% or 0.54 to $51.42 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 1.33% or 0.73 to hit $54.21 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.22% or 2.55 to trade at $1187.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.66% to 9.0885, while USD/NOK rose 0.69% to 8.5980.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.01% at 101.91.
