Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.51% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Nel ASA (OL:NEL), which rose 2.41% or 0.06 points to trade at 2.55 at the close. Meanwhile, Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) added 2.38% or 1.32 points to end at 56.90 and Kongsberg Gruppen ASA (OL:KOG) was up 2.16% or 8.05 points to 380.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Orkla ASA (OL:ORK), which fell 4.00% or 4.60 points to trade at 110.30 at the close. SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) declined 1.60% or 7.60 points to end at 467.00 and Gjensidige Forsikring ASA (OL:GJFG) was down 0.55% or 1.40 points to 255.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 149 to 121 and 28 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 1.89% or 1.23 to $66.21 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 1.60% or 1.07 to hit $67.94 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.45% or 14.90 to trade at $3,358.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.32% to 11.57, while USD/NOK fell 0.18% to 10.08.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.40% at 98.67.
