Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Materials, Energy and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.15%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which rose 5.42% or 2.85 points to trade at 55.45 at the close. Meanwhile, DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) added 4.66% or 0.34 points to end at 7.63 and Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP) was up 3.20% or 3.90 points to 125.70 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were SalMar ASA (OL:SALM), which fell 4.52% or 9.80 points to trade at 207.20 at the close. Nordic Nanovector ASA (OL:NANOV) declined 3.94% or 3.20 points to end at 78.10 and P/f Bakkafrost (OL:BAKKA) was down 3.13% or 10.20 points to 315.80.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 88 to 85 and 26 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 1.96% or 0.85 to $44.23 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 2.04% or 0.94 to hit $46.98 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.06% or 0.76 to trade at $1247.16 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.45% to 9.5265, while USD/NOK fell 0.83% to 8.4113.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.85% at 96.28.
