Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Financials and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX fell 0.54%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were KPN Kon (AS:KPN), which rose 1.43% or 0.037 points to trade at 2.626 at the close. Meanwhile, DSM Kon (AS:DSMN) added 1.39% or 0.83 points to end at 60.71 and ABN AMRO Group NV (AS:ABNd) was up 1.08% or 0.24 points to 22.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were NN Group (AS:NN), which fell 7.62% or 2.46 points to trade at 29.82 at the close. ArcelorMittal SA (AS:ISPA) declined 1.34% or 0.117 points to end at 8.633 and Royal Dutch Shell A (AS:RDSa) was down 0.92% or 0.230 points to 24.885.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 78 to 48 and 9 ended unchanged.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was up 6.51% to 14.20.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.15% or 0.08 to $53.19 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 0.30% or 0.17 to hit $55.58 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.48% or 5.90 to trade at $1239.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.55% to 1.0657, while EUR/GBP rose 0.49% to 0.8548.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.47% at 100.60.
