Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Healthcare, Oil & Gas and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX declined 0.12%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Relx NV (AS:RELN), which rose 1.20% or 0.185 points to trade at 15.650 at the close. Meanwhile, DSM Kon (AS:DSMN) added 1.03% or 0.62 points to end at 60.74 and Vopak (AS:VOPA) was up 0.88% or 0.38 points to 43.16 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Randstad (AS:RAND), which fell 2.23% or 1.24 points to trade at 54.30 at the close. Philips Kon (AS:PHG) declined 1.12% or 0.32 points to end at 27.73 and NN Group (AS:NN) was down 1.00% or 0.34 points to 33.27.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 71 to 65 and 6 ended unchanged.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was down 0.47% to 14.14.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 1.75% or 0.94 to $52.84 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 2.01% or 1.13 to hit $55.11 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.18% or 2.15 to trade at $1187.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.08% to 1.0689, while EUR/GBP rose 0.53% to 0.8524.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.10% at 100.62.
