Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Healthcare and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX lost 0.06%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Koninklijke Vopak NV (AS:VOPA), which rose 0.81% or 0.34 points to trade at 41.70 at the close. Meanwhile, NN Group NV (AS:NN) added 0.54% or 0.17 points to end at 32.70 and ABN AMRO Group NV (AS:ABNd) was up 0.51% or 0.12 points to 23.57 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Randstad Holding NV (AS:RAND), which fell 3.64% or 1.97 points to trade at 52.14 at the close. Galapagos NV (AS:GLPG) declined 2.28% or 1.740 points to end at 74.410 and Gemalto (AS:GTO) was down 0.93% or 0.50 points to 53.46.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 66 to 54 and 13 ended unchanged.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was up 0.49% to 11.54.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.49% or 0.25 to $51.22 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.44% or 0.24 to hit $53.91 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.32% or 4.02 to trade at $1251.48 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.06% to 1.1176, while EUR/GBP rose 0.17% to 0.8644.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 97.34.
