Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Technology, Industrials and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX fell 0.72%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Universal Music Group NV (AS:UMG), which rose 7.35% or 1.78 points to trade at 26.00 at the close. Meanwhile, DSM Firmenich AG (AS:DSFIR) added 4.00% or 3.88 points to end at 101.00 and IMCD NV (AS:IMCD) was up 2.59% or 3.75 points to 148.75 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ASM International NV (AS:ASMI), which fell 12.15% or 74.00 points to trade at 535.00 at the close. BE Semiconductor Industries NV (AS:BESI) declined 8.17% or 11.10 points to end at 124.80 and ASML Holding NV (AS:ASML) was down 7.01% or 49.10 points to 651.60.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 51 to 44 and 14 ended unchanged.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 2.93% or 2.19 to $72.47 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 2.53% or 1.96 to hit $75.59 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 1.52% or 42.64 to trade at $2,763.96 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.04% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.02% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 107.23.
