Nvidia closes above $4 trillion for the first time
Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Technology, Healthcare and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX declined 0.66%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Unilever PLC (AS:ULVR), which rose 1.62% or 0.86 points to trade at 53.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Koninklijke KPN NV (AS:KPN) added 0.93% or 0.03 points to end at 3.68 and ING Groep NV (AS:INGA) was up 0.84% or 0.14 points to 17.09 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ASM International NV (AS:ASMI), which fell 5.69% or 31.60 points to trade at 524.00 at the close. BE Semiconductor Industries NV (AS:BESI) declined 5.67% or 6.50 points to end at 108.20 and Randstad NV (AS:RAND) was down 2.80% or 1.12 points to 38.86.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 67 to 33 and 12 ended unchanged.
Shares in ING Groep NV (AS:INGA) rose to 5-year highs; up 0.84% or 0.14 to 17.09.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for April delivery was up 2.24% or 1.54 to $70.16 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 1.87% or 1.35 to hit $73.42 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 1.35% or 39.59 to trade at $2,891.01 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.69% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.25% to 0.82.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.72% at 107.10.
